From what my doctor told me you are pregnant for 10mons 10x4=40weeks. 12wks is 1st trimester, 27 is 2nd trimester 36 is 3rd trimester and 40 is the end of your pregnancy. I have always be told 12 wk and plus you cant divide 4 into 14,
@2ndbaby there aren't 4 sections of pregnancy, just 3, that's why its called a trimester. You are in your third and final trimester from 27-28 weeks until you have the baby some doctors say 12 weeks, some say 13, and some say 14, it just all depends on the doctor. You aren't pregnant for 10 months either because if you were every month could only have 28 days in it. Your baby will be about 3 months old if you have it at full term when the day of your last period (from the previous year) came. 9+3=12 months either way, nothing to debate over, everyone has different doctors, everyone will get told something different. I would see everyone else saying they are in 2nd trimester in 12 weeks then someone pointed out the 13x3 and configured it myself and agreed that the start of 14 is 2nd trimester. I don't see my doctor til May 16th and if I remember I will ask her and see what she says. My doctor never told me about the trimesters so I'll get her opinion.
I agree with @KerideeRN hun. I don't think it was anything to argue over and you didn't start anything. you are excited and you should be hun!!! Congrats again!
