Can anyone give me advice on what to expect when giving birth? Im a first time mom and terrified of giving birth. Plus im going to be induced on Monday! Im really nervous and stressed about my baby coming..
I went to a labor class today. It was really informative until we watched the videos. I was confident until i saw the birthing bar and ended up in tears..... literally.
I think there will be enough people in the room (nurses and all) that they will help guide us. Im scared too!
I was induced with my first and I remember being so scared. It hurt like hell but the sheer excitement of knowing my baby was coming took away most of it... You'll be fine x x
Remember to relax as much as possible or your labor will stall. Since its your first, id say you can expect to be in labor for awhile, ut everyone is different, it just depends on the person. Id say expect them to break your water, but if you don't want them to, don't feel bad about saying no! If you don't want them to check you often, you need to tell them hun. I suggest strongly walking around as much as possible and using the birthing ball. eat as much as you can afore hand, because you wont get to eat anything being induced just allowed juices and Popsicles/ water. good luck and congrats hun!!!
@Maggie I did the same thing..once I saw the videos I freaked out!! @cheryl I hope so that's what everyone says.. @mommyoftwoprincesses thanks for the advice! I hope my girl turned!
Has she been breech? Im having the same problem with my little girl until I recently went to the chiropractor, she flipped back now! It was because my pelvis was out of place.
@mommyoftwoprincesses congrats! Omg ur so lucky! Yeah she is but im praying she turns on Monday so my doc can just induce me..no version or c section, im really freaking out about those maybe happening!
Good luck hun! I really hope she turns for you! Do some exercises if you can to try and make her turn. I really hope everything works out for you sweetie! Keep me updated! Im really hoping my little girl stays head down now
Do you have a friend or family member who has had a baby that you would feel comfortable having with you for the birth? I had my sister, who already had two babies and is a nurse plus my husband. It really helped to have soneone there who had been thru it a couple times.
