  • Just be there for her and ask her if she needs anything. I really appreciated it when my husband would rub my back when I wad throwing up and later he would rub my tummy or pat my head until I felt better. It was just nice to know that he cared.
  • The doctor can give her medicine to help with her nausea, I used to use the dissolving one it worked wonders but my insurance only covered 10 pills a month...other then that there is really nothing you can do besides try to comfort her...I had horrible all day sickness it would get to the point I had to go to the er...have her eat and go right to sleep
  • She can talk to her doctor about an anti-emetic (anti-puke/nausea) medication. There are Phenergen, Zofran or Reglan. The Zofran makes one that dissolves on your tongue which helps a ton when you are so sick you can even barely swallow your own saliva. Chamomile tea, ginger (candied ginger, ginger candies), peppermint. Avoiding certain smells can help make her not feel worse (like I can't stand the smell of grease, the smell of outside; like when someone has been outside, I can smell it on them). I hope she feels better soon!
  • Yea i do all of that. And another thing, she throws up the medicine that her doctor gives her. She hates the taste.
  • @MrsDelRae thanks, that might be what she needs
  • I had high blood pressure with my first son it was called preclampsia I think cuz it was only while I was pregnant any way I had da same symptoms and actually lost weight instead of gaining the baby was a preemie but I'm not trying to scare u everything will be fine if she under the supervision of her doctor my son is a very happy and hyper 3yr old..any way just ask the doctor what he recomends and don't leave her alone like me I was passed around like a baby lol my husband went to work and my mom would come in then she left when he came bak..hood luck I hope its only morning sickness either way try not to leave her alone
  • Ok, she'll go crazy if i leave her alone lol
  • Being there for her is the best thing. I ended up on home iv and a zofran stomach pump for a month. Listen to her and if something sounds good to her she thinks she can eat, get that for her. Most likely anything else will make her puke, don't suggest it! And of course be patient, sounds like you are! :)
  • if she's gone more than a day without food I suggest u take her to the ER and explain what's ben going on because if she does have what I had she can have a seizure if she's not monitored I hated going but they would hook me up to an ivy and it was refreshing like water then my appetite would come back..
  • iI agree with jellybelly don't force feed her lol sometimes fresh limonada helped me but with one sip shell knw if she can keep it down
  • Ok, off to the grocery store lol
  • Lol good luck and congrats..is this ur first?
  • If she hasn't kept anything down in over a day take her to hospital she may need iv fluids. She is very lucky to have you caring for her just know you are being brilliant :)
  • Yes this is my first lol. @tammy thank you, I'm tryin the best i can. We got a long way to go lol. Today make 11 weeks
  • Hopefully her tummy will settle soon morning sickness sucks
  • Agree with the ladies here, if it gets so she can't keep water down go to the er and she will get ab iv and it helps so much!! She will feel great, have been jn the hospital 3 times for it.but its life saver
