has anyone gone through something similar?!?

okay so I'm 31wks 4days,I'm in the hospital b/c i have mild pre-eclampsia.since my bp has been high and i had protein in my urine,they want to monitor the baby. They gave me a steroid shot to mature the babys lungs just in case i do have to have her right away,have any of you ladies been in this situation? I'm scared cause she's still early and only weights 3lbs 10oz:/

Ive been here in hospital for over 4 weeks. Came in at 26 weeks. Even more scary!! My problem is incompetent cervix tho. I have been scared to death. Im 30 weeks 4 days. I know how you feel sweetie. My bag tore and leaked for a week. I just knew that was the end. Now it has sealed up. Yay!! Its been rocky road but im still hanging in there. 31 weeks is great. My doc said he is comfortable now and expects my baby will do just fine if born now. Those steroids will help alot.

Don't worry, you need to stay calm cuz you don't want your bp to go up. With my first I had severe preeclampsia and had to have a c-section at 25 weeks. He had one shot of steroids and was teeny tiny but he pulled through and is now five years old. Just stay positive, accept the steroids, and trust that God will take care of your little one. You are in a good place in your pregnancy. I will pray for you and your baby. Keep us posted.

My little cousin was born at 28 weeks...he got steroid shots and was born at 3 lbs..he is now a healthy 170 lb, 16 year old

With my 2nd I had exactly the same. And they shot the steroids in my backside lol, every 12 hours. My bp went down and I was allowed home, 3 weeks later, same thing. Eventually I went into labour naturally and all was fine, but damn that injection hurt lol. Try and stay relaxed. X
