edited May 2011 in Pregnant
So as alot of u may already knw, im 7 wks pregnant but last year in august i gave birth to a full term baby who died after 30 hrs due to a rare metabolic disorder: thing is i dnt knw HOW and WHEN to break the news to our families! I dont want anyone to feel afraid and i want them to b able to enjoy this time with us! I knw its gonna b hard since it wasnt that long ago since we lost our little angel! We've been doing a lot of praying in hopes that we have a healthy baby. I jus wish i had the strength to tell our families this exciting YET scary news!

  • Im so sorry u went through that, I cant imagine! I dont have any advice really, but just remind them every baby is a blessing no matter what, and that you all have every reason to be anxious and exciteddd, its ok to be scared thats normal, but dont let it cloud the good things
  • THanks hun! ;-)
  • You are welcome good luck :)
  • Id at least wait till ur 2nd trimester. The 1st is the most dangerous and common lo loose the baby. My hubby n I mc this past october and decided to wait til I was further along to tell family about this baby. But one question u said it was rare condition but is it rare to most people or do u have a more likliness of having another baby with the same conditions?
  • Its rare for any woman to have a baby born with a metabolic disorder. Its also rare for a woman to have a second baby born with a metabolic disorder.
