Maternity underwear

edited May 2011 in Pregnant
Is it necessary? Will I wake up one morning and not be able to wear the usual underwear? May sound like a silly question but I already have to replace much of my wardrobe and it is beginning to take a financial toll...but you can giggle too... Its kinda funny :)

  • Not for me! I still wear the same underware... less thongs though:) more boy shorts. And ones with lace around the waist cause those are stretchy & comfy:)
  • I think it depends on what kind of underwear you usually wear. Mine are low rise bikinis or boy shorts and I never bought maternity ones. But if yours go up on your belly, they might get uncomfortable.
  • I got super stretchy boy cuts that are rocking my world at 21 weeks. I also have Hanky Panky thongs that are one size fits most, and I can wear those in a pinch.

I might need to get a few more pairs of these XL (Im usually a L, almost a M when I got preggo because I was losing weight) panties, but I imagine I'll still wear them as I lose my baby weight, too.
  • I wear stretchy lace thongs I bought at Target. So far they are working out really well, and I am not planning on investing on any maternity underwear.
  • I bought some this time around although I don't need to wear them yet. I just remember with my last pregnancy my underwear got tight around the sides so I ended up buying some that were a larger size, but they were a bit loose in places. So I'm hoping I like the maternity underwear.
  • my doctor said no thongs but I wear boy shorts lol
