How do you get your boyfriend excited and into shopping for the baby! we find out what where having on the 3rd im so happy and when i show him what i got he goes oh cute then looks away!!
Lol truthfully i dnt think the guys will be as excited as we r to shop. Jus show him wat u plan on buying n if he has no problem then go for it! I jus take my bf to babies r us with me n he doesnt really pick out anything, he likes the fact that im so excited to do it lol besides i wouldnt want my bf going shopping for baby alone lol he has good fashion sense but still lol
Have him buy the baby an outfit that he picks out by himself a little something just from daddy...but my boyfriend loves to shop more than me so it wasn't a problem...but maybe if he buys something just from daddy it will kick start him getting more excited don't worry tho most men just don't get excited about things like an outfit
@sam_first_time_mommy how far along are you? I am 22 weeks with my first and we have had ultrasound every 2 weeks since I was 6 weeks b/c I hve diabetes. My hubby did not get excited until we found out we were having a boy at 19 weeks. It really made it more real for him. Men are just different then us, we feel love for that baby from the second we find out we are pregnant, they can't feel the baby or feel the rush of hormones or anything so I think it is just harder for them to get excited. But I am sure he will come around!
idk. I think it just depends in the guy. im all for it. whenever my gf shows me cute things she gets got our girl I can't stop smiling. everything looks so cute
i think that every guy is just different...my husband was very excited and bought most of the stuff himself...even the outfits as well. my friends husband never was interested in it...but was forced to go along with it. great luck to you sweetie!
@mrs_shu that is a great idea! I have done that for my hubby, especially since we found out it is a boy, he is a Cleveland Brown's fan so I have bought a couple outfits, and he plays the drums, so anytime we see stuff with drums, we buy it. Ithink that has really helped too.
Thanks @headersue :-D hubby and I were in the store at a Yankee game(spring training) and this new father was at a loss in the infant/toddler section. He had a baby girl and I told him he didn't have to dress her only in pink stuff lol he never thought that before and got all happy picking out an outfit
@headersue I'm 20w 3d this is my first baby! This is my second ultrasound the last time I seen my babby was when it was as big as a chiclen nugget lol! I really hope he is more into the baby shopping tomorrow! I don't wanna be the only one picking everything out my self:( my boyfriend gets grossed out when he feels the baby move lol its funny cuz he always wants to fewl the baby!!!
If he's like my hubs, u don't! I have given up trying...too many "look, isn't this cute?! And I got her this...and this...and this..." Only to receive "yep...ok...great..." In response. On the upside of things, he never knows when I spend money on clothes the kids don't need lol.
My husband was already looking up stuff online for the baby at 8 wks! But that.only lasted for a few weeks. Men just Dont understand what fun shopping is my husband is like 'when I go shopping I get what need and leave' we on the other hand look around and look at several options and then buy stuff we didn't even go to the store in the first place for. Just the many differences of males and females. Lol
This babys my 3rd but my only girl and his first. The dad just cares to buy her stuff he's into. Like planning on her first dirt biike. Help me.! But if I buy her stuff he likes it but he's too shy to look for himself. He says its cuz I'm picky but I also think its weird for him cuz its a girl and he's not much of a shopper or baby person.
