  • There's a brand called weleda it may be at your target or if not its on the target online they have different ones for different things they have one for stretch marks and it was reccomended to me. Its $19 tho I'm not sure the price your willing to take. But palmers tummy butter works better then there stretch mark lotion
  • Its mostly a hormone thing but you can try a firming lotion
  • Thanks & u 2. I've read in my baby book that there's really nothing that will prevent it that it depends on skin type through genetics. I'm still gona try.
  • I meant the price your willing to pay. Sorry
  • I didn't know palmers made a butter. Cool! Gona get it. Thanks!
  • No problem its in a round container with the little pregnant girl on the cover
  • K. I'm going to the store right now! I love this app and all the ladies on it! So helpful!
  • Were did you buy the lamaze belly rub?
  • Okay thanks my husband will buy me any lotion I want for my tummy but I still feel like I'm going to get stretch marks because I already have some just from gaining and losing weight thru out my teenage years but it doesn't hurt to try!
  • I have bad news for you, there is nothing on this planet that will prevent or reduce the number of stretchmarks you get, less altering your dna. consider them battle scars if you get them, and luck if you don't. :)
  • Thank youu(: I think that anything for stretch marks helps a little its better then no lotions at all because your skin needs those moisturizing stuff
  • There ia no preventing stretch marks they are actually hereditary if ur mother had them u have about a 90% chance of having them too. Believe me with my first pregnancy I spent hundreds on creams for stretch marks and I still got covered in them
  • Bio oil is fantastic, it gets rid of existing stretch marks and scares as well as preventing them. I'm from the UK so not sure you guys in the states have it. I have been using it from the start, only 22 weeks but have no stretch marks. Deffinatly recommend :)
  • I didn't get my first stretch mark til I was around 30 weeks so let us know how ur lookin the cause 22 weeks ain't far enough to matter @jemmalyon
  • I love "lay it on thick" body cream from bath & body works...
  • @heatherlynn me too! I swear by it.
  • Mix bio oil with a tub of pure shea butter. The best makers are the african brand. It comes in a clear plastic bowl that looks like a chinese takeout soup bowl. I don't have stretch marks on my stomache, thank god, but I have them on my butt. And it seems to be workin.
  • I'm 20 wks n 4 days so mybe that's y my stomache hasn't stretched. My butt is like a maze thou, lol. Had no booty pre prego now I got some junk n mi trunk.
  • I've been trying bio oil, coco butter and now uddly smooth lotion. Those are all I keep reading online. Im 26 wks and look like a damn bear attacked my belly lol
  • Kayleigh27 omg ur choice of words is hilarious, im laughin hard....well ladies alls I can say frm expirence is with no offence to colored ppl....but my ob said that african lotions are the best for elastisity...
  • Workd for me with my first pg
  • I'm currently 34 weeks and have been using lotion and oils at least 5 times a day ever since I started showing. So far I have no stretch marks:) and my mom is full of them, if you keep your tummy always mostirized you shouldn't have a problem:)
  • @kristi08182011 lol it's true though!
  • I'm 27 weeks, and i have no new stretchmarks. My previous pregnancy, i went to 39 weeks, and also got zero stretch marks, I never used a single skin creme or did anything differently than I'd normally done. My mother is COVERED in stretch marks. Its not just from your mom's genes, your dad's genes play a role as well. Your mother could have none and you could be covered, or vice versa. Stretch marks are actually "under" your skin as you know it, its the tearing/scarring of the dermis layer, not the epidermis. The elasticity of this is largely due to genetics, some tests have shown vitamin E to be mildly effective, but no more so than keeping well hydrated during pregnancy.
  • Vitamin E oil! :)
