Is it odd...?

This maybe a weird question. But how odd is it to name a baby after a deceased pet? We found out we were having a gril and are having a hard time coming up with a middle name. Her first name is Alana (a-lah-na). Any ways my doggie of the last 14 yrs pasted away a few weeks ago and her name was Roxy, she was "my first born" atleast thats how she was treated! So Im just curious if it seems a bit odd to name my baby girl Alana Roxanne?

OK thanks ladies @mrswright and @jaime77 Just need some advice outside of family and friends before I brought it up to them. Im sure you know how they can be 8-|
