Mothers Day?

How many of you first time mommies consider this your first Mothers Day? I hadn't even really considered it, in fact.. I didn't even know mothers day was this weekend (I'm not an awful daughter I swear!) until a friend made a big deal about it being my first! I was like, wait? this one counts?!

    I do! In my opinion I've been a mother since this baby was formed in my womb last September! I may not have directly been taking care of her, but my body was! Sadly, my husband doesn't feel that I should be able to celebrate it :(

    I am not counting this one. In fact I said to my bf last night that this would be my last mothers day not being a mommy! I can't wait for home made cards and paper flowers and all the fun stuff the kids make for you. I think I am going to make my mom some hand made stuff this year because I bet she misses that!

    Hah, That's exactly what I told him. I told him that if I don't get a mommas day, that shell be too young to celebrate fathers day :)

    Thanks I just have always felt a hand made gift has so much more meaning then a bought one! You took the time and energy for someone you love. I told my bf to never let our son buy me anything especially cards lol I hope that happens!

    @Steeny, totally! I feel the same way! I mean it when I say it's the thought that counts! Lots of tears, sweat and gluesticks went into those little handmade gifts we all made!

    I know! My mom still has cards I made her and a little clay turtle box I made her when I was like 8 lol

    My boyfriends mom recently showed me a bunch of stuff he and his brother made for her and their dad when they were little and in one card he made an acronym for MOM.. it was

    haha! I laughed SO hard.. the handwriting was so cute and I remembered how hard it was to come up with those gosh darn acronyms sometimes! haha
