tmi ? for past & present nursing moms

edited May 2011 in Breastfeeding
Just curious if anyone else has noticed one boob producing more milk than the other. I pumped like an hr after feeding dd-she ate off right boob (I alternate feelings) and my right boob still pumped out twice as much as my left! My right boob seems fuller all the time. Anyone else feel this way/notice it too or is it just my weird boobs?! Sry if this is tmi but I tried to forewarned u lol

  • Yep I had the same. Toward 3 months of bf it evened out
  • yeah just keep offering both my right also has a much faster flow then the left so newborn always liked the left then when a bit older they switched to liking the right lol
  • Yep I get that too. my right produces more. It is kinda evening out, but I still notice it.
  • Wow...can't believe that its all about the.right! Lol thanks ladies
  • I just started pumping cause my baby is in the nicu and will be there a while. My right pours milk. Left takes a while. Most of time I get more out of the right. That boob is also bigger.
  • Exactly the same for me, but mine never really evened out. Even now, right is bigger, and produces more. Im only 33 weeks, bfed my daughter for a year.
  • Yup me too my right produced more n they never exactly evened out but not that noticeable lol i tried feeding more on left but rt always produced more this was 2 years ago btw !
  • Wow...go right boobs! Lol. When pumping I can't help but root my left boob on...the extra encouragement doesn't seem to help much tho.
