Boy or girl? someone is going to do red white blue theme. If it's in a backyard, host a giant cookout with kiddie pool and bouncy house. U can use tiki torches at night and a cozy firepit, make smores. I like who knows mommy and daddy best. Ask personal questions about you and your other half and the one who gets most answers wins...example..what's your favorite perfume, what is his favorite nfl team..
Im having mine inside and its a candy theme! Everything is so colorful, my cake is gna be decked out with candy all over it. Im giving away whirley pops and candy as favors. We will play guess the size of my tummy, baby bingo, and word scramble
I'm having mine the end of June to avoid the heat of July and august. I'm also surprising my guests by having a 3/4d u/s at the shower so they all get a sneek peak at baby Ryan.
Well I'm having a girl and I was thinking a safari theme so lots of green pink purple and white...but I dnt know what kind of food games. Gifts....and I'm due july 26
Cute theme! food can be buffet style. sandwhiches,(chicken salad, turkey ect) chips, crockpot meals like chili, mini meatballs, macaroni and tuna salad, cut fruit and veggie trays with dips. Ice cream sundays for the kids, ect. Gifts can be gift cards they are easy to do.
Lol thx ladies! Trust me i was at a lost. I didnt have a place or theme or anything. Im trying to make my shower more of a party than a shower bcuz too much pink baby things (im having a girl) makes me gag lol n ive been to a couple baby showers where i didnt enjoy myself so i want to make sure my guests do. Once u come up with a theme u will stick with ideas will come to u! As for games google will be ur best friend. U can find games you have never even heard of
I agree! I like different colors besides blue or pink. The Safari theme is awesome u can ask friends with children to borrow any stuffed jungle animals they have to scatter around the room.
@excitednewmom yeah I'm only 21 and I haven't been to a babyshower in years lol so I want mine to be diffrent and yea I'm having a girl as well so I'm adding babygreen purple and pink...since I like zebra print and chettah I decided to go with the safari....thanks jamie77 for the awsome idea! ;0)

@makeup_artist_mommy o the animal print is such a cute idea! N good thing u added those colors, u wont go into pink overload! Lol my aunt is having a baby jungle theme. U can get lots of decor with baby animals on it, its so cute. U can also incorporate brown n orange colors into it if u like, they go nicely as well
I'm having a luau...lots of Hawaiian food and maybe even a pig to roast...were having a girl too so I'm making most of the decor pink flamingos...its gonna be July so for the games were doing a water balloon toss and stuff like that...
My cousin is throwing me one of my showers and she is having everyone put designs on swatchs of fabric and then she is going to make it into a blanket for my baby! I thought that was a really cute idea.
I'm doing a luau theme as well:) gonna do the bottle chug with blue lemonade, and some other ones. Food wise were making a watermelon baby carriage (go online and look it up:) ) having hamburgers and hot dogs, potatoe and macaroni salad. Soooo excited!
A couple of game ideas from showers that my mom has hosted for myself and my sisters - Diaper Pin Pickup - Blindfold the player and have them try to find as many safety pins as they can in the bowl of rice. Whoever finds the most wins! Baby Paper Plate Drawing - Everyone tries to draw a picture of the baby on a paper plate that they have to hold on top of their head. No peeking! Mommy picks her favorite! Don't Say Baby! - This one goes for the entire shower. Set up a piggy bank - every time someone says the word 'Baby', they have to put money in the baby's piggie bank. (My sister in law had so many people say 'Baby' that some of them started paying the pig in advance - even writing checks!) Baby Bingo - You find the game sheet online. Old Wives' Tales - Another one you find the game sheet for online - you get a list of old wives' tales. Fill in the gender that matches the tale. Whoever gets the most right wins. Dirty Diaper - Make up little baby diapers from cotton squares. Make sure some of them have little 'messes' drawn in them. Then pass them out when the guests arrive. Whoever has a stinky gets a prize!
A game I have played a couple times at showers is the dirty diaper game. You melt different kinds of chocolate bars and put them in diapers and then you pass them around and everyone writes down what candy they think it is, whoever gets the most right wins. Also fill a basket with baby items, then pass it around, then everyone writes down what they can remember is in the basket, whoever gets the most right wins. We play the say baby game, but everyone gets a clothes pin when they arrive at the shower, if someone hears them say baby, they take the clothes pin, whoever ends up with the most at the end of the shower wins.
Thanks ladies these are all lovely ideas...I like the one with the money but not sure if everyone would want to pitch in lol my fam. Is a lil tight! Lol
