streaks of blood what does it mean? plz help

Hi I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I am dialated to a one and my doc said my cervix is thinning. This is my second pregnancy and a lil bit ago I wiped and I had streaks of red blood what does this mean? My sis said the same thing happend to her when she was dialating. I don't want to go to the hospital if its nothing.

I'm not 100% sure, since I've never been in your shoes, but I've read about something called a bloody show around the time you lose your mucus plug? Maybe you should google it? I hope everything's okay!
