@angiesmommy good luck with your labor. I hope you don't have pre eclampsia. BTW it is normal for labor to go like yours did. in my experience my labor will start and stop (especially in early labor) for days. even when I go into active labor I have to monitor it by determining if I can speak through contractions (because my contractions never fall into a consistent pattern even when I'm pushing). So when I have to pause during contraction it usually means that I'm in active labor.
I have more bleeding they r gonna watch me for another hour, my pre eclamcia results come out ok! but my contractions r getting lil stronger. Baby hearts rate is lil up shes being monitor! In about 45 theyll decide if im going home or staying.
dey send me back home, im only 3cm dilated. No more progressed. my lower back pain doesnt go away though, the contractions are not as strong as yesterday. thx everyone.

Sorry they sent you home. My doctor would have admitted me if i was 3cm dialated ad was having horrible back pain and contractions. I guess all doctors are different.
@hurstk28 he didnt admitted me cus Im not progressing on dilating they checked dilation 4 time (dey made me cry) 2 of dem I was 2.5cm dilated da other Itwo I stayed at 3. So jst dilated .5cm
I know this may not be easy to think but when you go into labor you will already be 3 cm dialated so your labor will be shorter...sorry today wasn't the day
I hope it happens soon for you. I ve been the same again today constant back ache and then a random contraction here and there. I don't see my midwife till next Tuesday which would make me 1 day over due. Think I'm gonna beg for a membrane sweep lol I'm just so fed up of being uncomfortable and in pain :-W
If u try to take a nap u will wake up if it gets bad and if not u will get some rest and store up some energy for pushing. This is my 5th and that's what I would do. Try to forget about those bad people at the hospital! >:D< Lol
@angiesmommy technically at 3cm you aren't in active labor yet. Best practice policies usually say wait to give drugs and do interventions until the momma's in active labor which is 5cm. Alot of doctors don't follow best practice methods. They want things to move faster than nature intended so they do interventions. Its part of the reason our country has such a high c section rate and infant/mother morality rate.
Im sorry its not progressing very quickly for you! I would be frustrated too. I hope that when your labor picks back up that you have the baby really quickly!! This could be your body telling you to take a break before it starts again. I would take advantage of this time and rest.
My doc direct-admitted me w/my first when I was only 3cm?!?... but it did turn out to be real labor & my house was 45 minutes away, so I begged her not to send me home because I was afraid by the time I got home, I would just have to turn around & come right back! Lol... but I will say it felt like I was in the hospital forevvvver before she was born. This time I want to try & relax & take my mind off of labor for as long as I can so I don't get down or frustrated that its taking so long! Good luck & keep us posted!!!

@blissmarie23 oh so at five cm is actially wen active labor starts! N yes I really need some rest although I been feeling really good. Yeah ive gotten some contractions every now n den but other dan dat I feel really good.
I will take advantage of this time n rest da most I can!!!
@vette_devil my house is only 15 or 20 min away from hospital with traffic. So its less. Mine wasnt active labor. But I hope its soon. Im yrtin to focus on thing I have to get done before baby comes home n also rest.
