coping with fatigue and working 9 to 10 hr. days

edited May 2011 in Pregnant
Does anyone have any suggestions for coping with severe fatigue and working 9 or 10 hr. days? I just made 35 weeks and I am not getting much sleep at night. I work in finance and having to be alert and pay attention to detail to insure accounts balance is difficult when your eyes feel so heavy. Is anyone feeling the same. Btw I have gestational diabetes so I am on a strict diet so eating certain things is not an option.

  • I don't know how fruit affects your diet but id always heard apples and such give more energy than soda, coffee andjunk food. Maybe your dr has some suitable suggestions?
Are you able to maybe take a quick cat nap on luncg break?
  • I usually take a 30min nap around 130pm a least 3 times a weeks but it just doesn't seem to be enough. I think just getting through the day is tough. I do take two 15 minute walks around the building but florida is so hot some days the heat can be too much. As for apples I can have one in the morning so maybe I will try that. Thanks.:-)
  • Oh I know about that Florida heat! I remember the days of sweating 5 minutes out of the shower.

Hope sleep gets better at night, I know that would help the most :)
