Moby Wrap???

edited May 2011 in Pregnant
I've been debating on whether I should get a Moby Wrap or just a regular infant carrier. I've read really good reviews about the Moby Wrap and after already having experience with the infant carriers, I think the Moby Wrap would be a better choice, however I have a few concerns. Have any of you ever used the Moby Wrap? If so, are they safe for newborns? What are the chances of the baby suffocating inside one of these?

If placed right they will be fine they are right against u you'll notice a change in breathing. I want a mony wrap so bad this time around. They are expensive so I'm making one its basically 5yrds of material one that's a cotton with a little strech. They are safe for newborns and there is even a hands free nursing wrap. There are youtube vids of all the different ways and how to do them

  • @camommy - I was worried that they would be a waste of money. They are super high for a piece of cloth. I read reviews on other wraps as well and none of the reviews were as good as the Moby...I think I'm ready to make a purchase now!!!! Thanks :)

@HomeBirthAdvocate - Thanks. After reading the reviews for this item, I realized that they didn't have age requirements on the package, but all the babies on the box are big babies. Most of the other carrier age requirements started at 4months.....

Thanks ladies, your views on this item are greatly appreciated as I have been debating whether to buy it or not for some time now ;;)
  • @gatorbob - I think I'm going to go ahead and try it and hope for the best. Thanks :)
  • @armywife3 do you sew? If so its really easy to make one I don't remember the exact dementions but its 5 yards of material slightly tapered at the ends so all that needs to be done is edging.

  • @camommy - No, I haven't been blessed with that talent!!!! I can't imagine how it would look after I got done with it, even just doing the edging...lol
  • @gatorbob my bf is a chiropractor that's y he's totally against the regular ones.

You just have to do ur research and read reviews online. That's what I do.
