My first pregnancy!!!!

Im so excited! Last week, I took 3 HPT and all were positives!!!!! YAY. The reason I took 3 is because my boyfriend wanted to see if the first 2 were wrong lol. Yes, this was unplanned but I definately am sooo excited. My boyfriend is starting to get more excited about it the more he tells his friends. Then this past weekend I started bleeding, and this being all new to me I determined to go to the ER to find ot what was goin on. I guess its a threatened miscarriage. Then did blood work and got my results and my #s have doubled which shows the fetus s growing and havent miscarried. I still have been craming terribly and still having my menstrual cycle. The ER dr prescribe narcotic pain meds to me. And Im about 5 weeks along. Have any of you experience this? And what about the pain meds, wont it cause harm to the baby? Ohhh and Im having horrible ravings for sweets, just for Reeces butter cups!

Yes I went through the same thing! Miscarriages run in my family. I was 6 weeks and had some bleeding and blood colts. Went to the er and my numbers were great. I was also told I am in a threatin miscarriage stage. I went to my OB and got to see our little bean and the heart beat to make sure it was holding strong. She doc said everything looks great, and I am still iin that stage. She said there is nothing we can do to stop a mc...just to hope and pray. The blood only lasted 3 days as well as the cramping. I get small cramps out of the blue but nothing that makes me curl up in pain. I know its hard, I'm 9 weeks now and on the 21st we get to go back and hear the heart beat! I'm praying everything will be ok. Stay strong and POSITIVE! Hope everything goes well. God bless<3

i would be careful with the pain meds, i know when i was 10 weeks i had to go to the ER from my back teeth killing me, it was bad. and they gave me only like 6 3.5 loratabs. whats your dose?
