Usually 4cm and in active labor. I've been 4cm for a lil over a week. They kept me in L&D for 2 days and then sent me home because I did not progress. Every hospital is different at my hospital there are only 2 for sure tickets to stay in L&D and one is if your water breaks. And two is if your "511" ( having contractions 5 mins part that last for a minute each or at least one hour ) other than that the only other way they would you is if your less than 37 weeks and having 4-6 contractions an hour or bleeding or anything like that.
I've been 1cm for a week now, 50% effaced. I'm only 29 weeks and they said I could be like this for a long time. Do cervical checks to see if there's change.
