Does this really help?

edited May 2011 in Health
My midwife told me to go and get Red Raspberry Leaf tea and Evening Primrose Oil tablets, the tea you drink 3-5 cups a day and the tablets you put two up your vagina at bed time...its supposed to help get my uterus ready for labor..I'm 39 weeks..does this have a history of working? I hope so I'm ready for this baby any day now!! @homebirthadvocate

  • I have heard they do help but with any delivery speeder upper they are hit and miss. Just please don't take Castor Oil. I have heard it was horrible. But call your doc to make sure it is safe, but I am pretty sure you are good. Btw where are you from in IA??

  • Just to warn you the tea tastes horrible lol. I could manage to drink it for more than a couple of days it was just nasty. Recommend the capsules instead.

  • I know there are horror stories about caster oil but on a Sunday I took about 2 Tbsps of that oil, went one a mile walk and had sex. Monday morning, the next day, @ 3am my water broke and I had him that evening.
