Need help ladies!

edited May 2011 in Third Trimester
I've been having lower abdominal pressure/pain, feels like gas pains but its down around the lower pelvic area. It started yesterday (Sunday) and I'm still feeling it today off and on. It doesn't seem to bother me when I am sitting or laying down but when I get up and am walking around it hurts and sometimes has me hunched over for a moment. But I've never had gas pains this late in the pregnancy, IU have in the early parts and when I'm not pregnant, but not at 32+ weeks. Any of you ladies expierenced this feeling and if so what did you do to help. I go to the doctors this Wednesday so will mention it to him, but until then any tips ladies ir does it sound like something other than gas pains. That is the only thing it reminds me of. Thank you for your input. :)

  • Sounds Bad and it sucks no one knows or can help you. Maybe call your doctor. Hope you feel better.
  • I've been having it as well the last few days but I'm 39+ weeks. I would call your doctor or l&d and just ask them what they think.
  • @betty, @PregnantELF & @navybabyonway thank you for your replies. I'll have to check into this then. It does get a little disappointing when no one replies to something thats important at least to me it is. But I thank you ladies for your input. Thank you both again so very much! Means a lot to me. :)
  • I have them too. Its ok hun, I called my doctor and she said that its normal to feel those, in all pregnancy you should feel uncomfortable at times but that should be ok. I had those and ur went away but still comes around. Just walk at a short pace and be gentle with siting down and everything and you sould be ok :)
  • Have u had any mucous or bloody show? If so it could be labor, if not maybe gas or braxton Hicks. Your vag could hurt cuz the baby's head is down there. If it gets worse I would call Dr.
  • Thank you ladies. I appreciate your advice. Will take it easy and ask my doctor on Wednesday. :)
  • I have it too all the time my doctor told me its just her settling her head further down. Nothing helps mine thou.

I have been getting lower back/tail bone pain too..and on the sides of my stomach...

I'm almost 37 weeks, and it it too. Getting up or standing up slower makes it less common. Unfortunately, I have no long term solution for us. Good luck kiddo!
  • I get it also but mostly in the middle of the night. Try pepcid and see if maybe that helps.
