Depressing news.

Went and had my weekly ultrasound and my cervix has shortened .5 cm from last time. Baby is still doing good but I'm only 25 weeks along. I'm on progesterone shots and they seem to be doing absolutely nothing as I'm in the same place I was with our baby born at 31 weeks. :-( I'm so nervous and don't know what to do. I'm already on complete bedrest. What more can I do? This would be our 3rd child born prematurely. I don't wanna stay at the nicu again.:-(

Did you get a cerclage? I know NICU is such a hard place to be. My son was born at 27 weeks. How much cervix is left? I haf an emergency cerclage with only 3mm left.

No they didn't. I'm at 3.7 right now. My doctor is ridiculous. I am actually the one that called her and asked if I was a candidate for the 17p injections. She thinks my preterm labor is unrelated in every pregnancy. I don't get it and I want to switch but I really like her nurses.

She said oh ya. I didn't even think about that when asked about injections. She doesn't work high risk very often. Which is why I love seeing the mfm specialists every month. :-)

You might be able to go the er and get one done there depending on your labor and delivery ward

Ya. We will see. I'm having awful contractions tonight so we might just end up there anyway. :-(

I just looked it up and the cerclage is rarely done after 24 weeks. I'm 25 and 3 days. That makes me even more nervous. :-( what do I do?
