@2ndbutfirst i would totally agree and i do see where you are coming from but his disability is minor to the ones im talking about. I'm talking about a birth defect that would cause them to live in constant agony and pain and suffering or that would cause someone to lose their child moments after birth due to the inability of maintain life outside of the womb, I (personally) would rather be a murder than have to deal with the loss of a new born child (sorry to those of you who have suffered that, my heart goes out to you to the fullest extent ) or to have to watch them suffer a horrific life of pain. and i could only do it if it were early enough (with in the first two months of pregnancy no later than) for me not to have an extreme attachment to the child.
@2ndbutfirst very understandable and very respectable I can understand why not as well honestly, it would be a very difficult thing to do and to always have to live with the guilt of killing an innocent unborn child, makes my skin crawl even thinking about it and I have never been in the situation, so if it came down to it, I honestly don't know if I could go threw with it in the end, but as a thought having never been put in that position I think I could... HOPEFULLY I never have to find out! and HOPEFULLY no one else on pregly ever does have to find out
I have a generic question I'm not saying I agree or don't agree why is it ok to abort if the woman was raped? As I said I'm not saying I do or don't agree just asking a question
@bwhite55019 Just a personal decision for me. You never know what genetics your rapist may carry.. I personally would not give my child up for adoption. I feel there is too much of a bond between me and my children before they are even born. Thats why ive never had an abortion or given my kids up. With rape, i personally couldn't live day to day with a constant reminder of what happened or my attacker. What if my child was a spitting image of him? I just couldn't do deal with that.

Reading post like this blow my mind. how someone could actually think its there choice to end the life of another human being. Its not the child fault the women opened her legs but yet the child will pay for it. I kno many will not like this post but honestly its baffling to me.God dosent make mistakes he's the one who put the child in you why would he have blessed you with it if he didn't KNOW FOR SURE you would be able to parent the child. I believe GOD dosent give you more than you can handle. It dosent mean things will be easy or that life will be a breeze but u don't kno the purpose God may have for the child. @praying4our3rd and @genesis_2011 no doubt for making life easier its wronger than wrong can be! but I want your opinion, What about in the situation where it is a UNQUESTIONABLE life threatening situation due to some form of medical incompentcy? I have one person's view on it, I want a few more. In the situation that it was no questions asked you are going to die if you try to support the baby, or the baby will unquestionably die immediately after birth, or live a life of unbearable pain, (not actually ever having been in the situation), do you still think its horrifically wrong? NO disrespect, i just want another opinion in a situation that doesn't involve selfish reasoning such as "making life easier".
So its ok to take plan b if u have a mistake but God forbid u have n abortion really? N if u get raped its ok? N if u think it might kill u? Really I think it doesn't matter its thur decision n for the ppl who say its wrong it should be wrong regardless not only if b/c u never knw sum1 else situation!
@sunshinelove I think that's a good question. How I feel about that...Dr.'s can predict all they want about how much of chance they think that baby will have to survive. But I BELIEVE IN MIRICLES and have seen and heard of many stories where dr.s have said they will for only a few weeks and those children have lived full lives. I don't believe one can say for sure the fate of a child. If they told me my child wouldn't survive the birth and gave me the option to terminate the pregnancy to be honest I would not believe them and go on believing and trusting that I will have a healthy baby. I believe nothing is impossible for God. My faith would drive me though that situation. I would never ever abort. If god takes that child then his will be done. I like to look at all lost babys as BORROWED ANGELS. A blessing still even though they didn't stay for long.

and @2ndbutfirst My hubby just looked up Steven Hawkings, his defect was actually acquired after birth, it was a disease that first showed signs when he was 21 called ASL (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) caused (most likely) by a deformation of the 21st chromosome, or prolonged exposer a dietary neuro toxin, or the use of pesticides. Just thought that was kind of interesting (I'm a nerd like that xD) and thought I would share since I never have actually looked him up! I feel, knoledgeable today LOL

@angieahrens I agree almost 100% in the right for a woman to do what she feels is best for her. Noone knows her situation and if God has a problem with it, that will be between her and God. The only thing I do not agree with when it comes to abortion is when a female uses abortion as a birthcontrol method. I cannot say for a female to abort is right or wrong because ive never been in a situation where I felt I had no other choice.
@praying4our3rd you can't have a Unborn baby with out a mother to support it! unless its lungs and blah blah blah are all fully developed and fully functional outside of the womb but either way, in a case such as that, then mama is still gone so it would be like a lose lose situation no matter what direction it goes! one you lose baby the other you lose mama baby and children loose their mom, i agree.
