* could it hurt the baby *

edited January 2011 in Health
I'm 26 weeks pregnant with baby # 4. Every once in a while I'll lay on my left side when I'm turning on to my back or right side I feel a popping in my pelvis. I was wonder if that is normal. Could it be harming the baby.

  • Sounds perfectly normal. I just finished a pregnancy last August and now I'm pregnant again. I was a stomach sleeper (slept on the side of my tummy) right up until Noah was born and he was fine. You're at the point where all of the muscle and ligaments are readjusting to accommodate your belly. For awhile I felt a painful popping/grinding sensation in my pelvis and it turned out to be round ligament pain. Your baby has a nice big amniotic sac to cushion it.
  • I had twin girls last April and now pregnant with another girl. I was worried because I never had this happen with my last two. Thank you so much. I was nervous. I thought out may be its popping her.

  • I'm on my fourth too. This has happened to me a few times in this pregnancy where I it didn't with the others... weird.
