How many newborn sz clothes do you really need for a big baby?

So my baby is going to be big, most likely at least 9lbs. My first was 9lbs 3oz they put sz 1 diapers on him in the hospital, but I know I brought him home in a newborn sz outfit, but I can't remember how long he could wear nb sz for? I know it was not long maybe 10 days or so. but I dont remember if he was able to wear 0-3 as well, so I was wondering how many nb sz I should have. Right now I have 3 outfits and 3 white front button shirts in nb sz should I get more nb sz? Or do you think thats ok?

    I posted something similar by what everyone told me a few nb sizes are good you should do 0-3 and 3-6

    I never had nb size for either of my girls and I won't for this one either. Nb size says up to 7 lbs and both my girls were larger than that.

    My first son was 9lb 3 oz. he didn't fit into any of the nb clothes we had. We also had the size 1 diapers. And 0-3 month clothes fit him perfectly for over a month.

    My 4th was 10lbs 21 and half inches and he used his newborn clothes which were all from carters for about 2-3wks.

    My last baby was big, 9lb 7oz and she did wear newborn diapers, however for some reason Huggies newborn diapers are made a bit bigger than Pampers newborn, so I did use those for awhile until she could not wear them anymore and she wore them for about a month. AS far as newborn clothes all my big babies including my 9 pounder wore them, and they did for about 4-6 weeks, depending on how they were made. You know some companies make them on the small or larger size. But yes they wore them both the diaper and clothes for around a month.

    My kids are 7 pounders... I usually only have one week worth of new born outfits. Mainly for the ride home from the hospital and family visits. Just so my baby doesn't look like she's swimming in her clothes. After the first week.. Ill give my youngest the clothes for her baby doll. Lol

    What about a big- headed baby? I'm just going by the early ultrasound but Blueberry's head is enormous! (just kidding...well, not really...poor big-headed baby...) :-S

    always go for bigger in this case. baby will b outta newborn size in like 2 weeks if its born at a normal size. of corse premies are different case sinerio
