menstrual like cramps - a sign of labour or just a b****??

I've had pretty painful cramps (like period cramps) for the last 24 hrs. They don't seem to go away when I sit, but im trying to drink lots of water in case I'm dehydrated.
But if they don't go away with water, what do you ladies think?!

Ive had them since 35 weeks. Im now 37 weeks and not dialated at all.

@beautiful_alter I remember reading that you've had them for a while, I've had some too. They're just more frequent now, and more painful.

@karla_with_a_k I probably will, I was just wanting to see what people here thought...I hate running to my Dr for everything...

I'm 32 weeks pregnant atm and iv been having the same pain all day and im not sure wht to do, I don't want to make a big fuss. X

@mummy_2_be19 I know right. I'm a first timer at this, so I'm confused. Reading stuff on labor doesn't help, cause everyone's can look so different!

@natashalynn lol yh cos this is my first I never know when something is bad enough to go to hosp. And I dnt like to make a fuss. Also I had a kidney stent op at 22 wks so I'm not sure if ots pain frm that or not but it feels diffrent this time so i duno wht to do. :-s

It could be braxton hicks if it is then no need to worry but do get checked out anyway x

I've had them for a week. Went to l&d, everything was good with baby, they said it could be the very early start, meaning it could still be weeks. We just have to deal with it, I guess.

Yeah i had the same thing I'm 29 weeks and it comes and goes...one time it hurt so bad that i had the runs..sorry TMI but i even went to l&d and they said i was fine...
