  • my son is 22 months... and i had terrible trouble getting him to sleep through, but tough love and litterally leaving him to 'cry it out' so he didnt get the attention he was craving and within a week he no longer woke up and if he did he sooked for 2 mins and was right back off to sleep... its hard but it really worked and i glad he is such a good sleeper now.
  • @tinka1326 thanks im really going to have to try harder lol
  • Does she go to bed at the same time every night? Is there a routine? How are her naps?
  • Im working on the cry it out stage too but my 20month old wakes up about every hr all through the night.im due in 11wks and he will be 23months im terrified. Its going to be like having 2 newborns but a much bigger more stubborn one.my oldest 3 were perfect I never had to deal with this before but my 20month old thinks he's and only child and the world revolves around him.
  • My son has a routine. Takes his naps.I have to lay down with him and put him to bed until he's asleep every night.then he wakes up screaming bloody murder and I have to go sleep with him again and again and so on.I've tried letting him cry it out which is him screaming it out and he will go until he passes out and is hysterical can't breath choking. He can go anywhere from 20minutes to 2hrs.
  • @mrs_shu yes she goes to bed everyday between 6:30pm and 7pm. Her nap time is at 10:30am til 12:30- 1pm. @lucky7 I too have 2 other older children that slept perfect... And like yours this baby girl here thinks the world revolves around her lol.... im scared and this baby is due in 4 weeks or less if he is large

I have a 3 year old who gets up between 1 and 5 in the morning
A 22 month old who is up all night from 8 until about 2
I am due in 69 days. I figure I haven't been able to sleep decent in like 4 years why should it change now.
P.s. I do have a 15 year old who goes to sleep at 10 and sleeps until 6. So eventually it gets better.
  • My 10 month old still gets up several times and my 4 yr old has night terrors, I'm due in less than 3 months, I feel your pain!
  • Us poor sleep deprived mothers lol.... But somehow we do it! :) @snreda @mom60511
  • after i posted that my son woke up with a blood curdling cry at 1.30am... he wouldnt settle down and i eventually worked out he had a nightmare... he then spent the rest of the night in my bed lol
  • My 16 month old son still wakes up at least twice in the middle of the night. The past couple of nights he woke up several times! We'll find ways to handle it, us Mamas always do. ;)
  • You ladies just made me feel so much better. I'm 31 weeks and have a 2year old that still wakes up 2-4 times a night. @lucky7 sounds like are kids do the same thing. He falls asleep fine but wakes up screaming, and if I try letting him cry he gets hysterical and makes himself throw up.
  • I feel ya my daughter is 14 months and still wakes too. I just give her her sippy cup and goes back to sleep but I know it gona be hard when the baby comes. I'm 20 weeks
  • @serenitysmommy That's what I do with my son...well, I need to start putting his milk in a sippy. I got sidetracked with weaning him and he still takes the baabaa.
  • I give mine a small snack right before bed and from there let em cry it out. Even on the occasion they wake up in the night we give it ten mins before we go in. Usually they're back out in two mins. I can't seem to get them to nap regularly though :(
  • @Viviya but to her its no different and she still calls it Ba ba... She won't go anywhere with out that thing and were already on the 3rd 1 so its just as bad. I know I'm gonna have a hard time getting her off of it.
