Im so Stressed out!

So is it wrong to plan my own baby shower? Its kinda at the last minute though. I live in a dirrerent state and felt stupid getting ppls address in facebook. My mom asked me if I could do this, but have one of my friends send out the invitations. This is stressing me out. I invited over 88 ppl, and only three said they would come. But its only been a day.... im just scared i'll only have five ppl at my shower.... venting....
Any ideas?! Please!! Or advice?

Make a facebook event out of it. That way people who can't come can still see about it and who knows who will send you stuff

I had my daughters godmom plan mine turned out it was the same day as her brothers prom so she wanted to wait a couple weeks after mind that this was last weekend and I only have 2 weeks left. So I ended up having a very small one at work for my workers, and she didn't even come and say hi cause she wad too busy getting her 16 year old brother ready for prom, my bs was at 1 prom was 9 that. Night, only 5 people came and only 2 got stuff for the baby, I really didn't care I just wanted to see them and talk cause one had quit the month befor for school, I know how u feel it is stressful

Give them time to reply for starters. Some people may not have even checked their page yet and others need to check work, school, plans, ect before they can decide. Also, it depends on what you mean by "short notice" if you have given them less than two weeks, I wouldn't be surprised by a small turnout. I know I have to have 3 weeks to request a day off of work, and if you don't give them time to set aside money to buy a gift, they may not come, rather than show up empty handed. Its on a saturday.... I have been waiting for my husbands retirement papers to come in from the army... well, he felt bad for me and bought me a one way ticket. I've been waiting on him for quit awhile. But how I see it, my true friends will show up. Its a 12-3 baby shower/ my going away party...

Husband and I live at ft campbell, ky ... my shower is in WI..... so I can only do so much.. but my mom bought all the party stuff... im going to make the food.
