telling my father

I just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant. My fiancée and I are very excited but I'm very nervous to tell my father... I am his only daughter and child and he isn't happy about the engagement so I'm nervous to tell him about the pregnancy... so I guess I'm just asking for support and ideas on how to tell him?

I was like that with my mom...though I have many brothers and sisters I was the one who was supposed to finish college and actually be married before I got pregnant....I didn't get married til 3 months pregnant.....but I needed her help cause I didn't know what to do...so I had to pull her aside one day and tell her....she was very disappointed but tried to look on the bright side....and now with time she grew to be happy....idk how your relationship is or anything but you are in love with the babys dad and about to be married....he should be happy that you are happy no matter what....I hope you find out how to tell him and it goes well

I'm the oldest and I was the one who was suppose to finish college but I got engaged on Christmas my parents were excited but then a month and a half later I found out I was pregnant I was so scared to tell my dad idk how he was going to react but once I told him he had a totally different reaction than what I excpected. You know babies bring a lot of people together he might not approve right away but once that baby is in his hands he will fall in love. I should know my sis had her first at 18 and my dad was upset but once he saw my niece he couldn't put her down. Good luck!

I was afraid of telling my dad cuz I had to drop out of college due to finances but honestly hes more excited than anyone else hes told me hes buying the crib carseat and a bunch of other stuff he doesn't have a biological son so hes hoping its a boy

I waited for five months to tell my dad I was so scared! My mom told him for me he was not happy! A week later he was told he is having a granddaughter :-) its better now and I'm sure will be a lot better when she comes

Omg I'm sitting at railroad tracks stuck at a slow train. I'm on my way to my dad and step moms house to tell. I'm freaking.

Well...he took it okay. He told me I'm going to be a good mommy. But I could see he was shocked.

I had major problems tellin my dad well my mam tld him he told me t get rid or get out ..., guess wot im duin ..., gettin out ive been dwm housin n explained everythin my dad hasnt tlkd t me 4 nearly 2 weeks but is sayin a cuple of things nw n is helpin my fiance fix his car so i fink he cunmin rund ..., i hv loads of support of rest of family, friends and in laws ... im still at college andfinishin my.corse and work x
