Safe cold medications during pregnancy..Help!

edited May 2011 in Pregnant
I just got a cold, I'm 33 weeks preggo and I had a horrible night, my nose is stuffed and my body aches. What over the counter medications can I get that are safe for the baby? I tried calling my obgyn, but they are closed today due to Memorial day, and they only take emergency phone calls. Any info would help, thanks!

  • Your sick you can call the emergency line. When your sick depending on how far along you are you can go into preterm labor. Sometimes they even have nurse praxtitioners on the emergency line who can help w minor things. Or call your hospitals L&D.
  • Childrens medicines, just not ibuprofen. Sudafed (the behind the counter kind at the pharmacy), tylenol products, saline nasal spray
  • I was told Robitussin DM, Tylenol Cold, or Regular Theraflu. Definitely ask your doctor though cause every doctor has different safe meds lists for pregnancy.
