My hubby and I are expecting our first baby. We did an IUI with donor in order to get pregnant, and I was just wondering if there are other ladies here that have done IUI's and how many they have done and if they were successful? I am 29, my hubby is 38, I want to do another IUI in March 2012 (due with this baby 9/7/11). Is that too soon? I just wonder if anyone else has experience with this?

I believe @excitedtobe just did iui, but I don't know if it's her first or if she's done it before and might have some info?

Wow I'm so glad that you posted this! W did iui 9 days ago for the first time and we are waiting to see if it was a positive. We are using a donor as well!

@needamiracle this was our second try. First time was with my hubby's sperm, but it didn't work. Tried again with donor and it worked. I am now 26 weeks pregnant and we are BEYOND excited!
@Excitedtobe have you tested yet? I tested at day 10 bfn then again at day 11 and I got a faint line! The tww is the worst, especially when doing an IUI b/c you know in your brain that you did everything you were supposed to, so logically it should work!! Lots of baby dust to you! Did you use a bank or is the donor someone you know?

We have 4 vials stored with a bank yea its just an anonymous donor my hubby has nothing so lucky hes such a wonderful man but his pride is a little bruised so we aren't telling anyone about the donor I just let them know if at all that he has a blocked tube and we just harvested his sperm. Its so hard my period was due the first and today is the fifth so I'm praying!

Did you go with a anonymous donor as well then? If you don't mind me asking which bank did you go with?

We used an anonymous donor, we did a photo match, we used a bank here in Ohio. It was cheapest and they did free shipping to my RE.

We just picked poor things we likes that matched my hubby they could photo match but my hubby just wants a baby lol

My hubby was adamant about the guy looking similar to him, and based on the profile it sounded like he did, just taller, and my favorite donor was the one that got photo matched, so it must have been fate! So when are you going to test?

After this baby is born in September, I am thinking of doing another IUI in March. I go to school and that baby will be born before classes start. Plus my hubby is 38 and I am 30 so I want to be finished having babies soon. I am sending you lots and lots of baby dust!!!

Oh thanks you. I have a call into the nurse to see if I can come in to get a blood test! So excited but really nervous. We picked some one taller cause my husband isn't very tall and he wants our baby to be. We wanted to start a family soon so I'm only 24. It was it our first iui with a donor right? Oh and I'm super late on my period two more days it'll be two weeks since the iui

This was our first with a donor. My hubby is short too and I am tall so hopefully our little guy takes after me!

@headersue we haven't used a donor. The problem is all me. We are going to start ivf in july. Which the first month is birth control and the the following month is the actual start. Im excited to start it so I can get my bfp!
