This is to the black women....are y'all getting relaxers while y'all are pregnant. I heard that if you do then your hair will fall out idk if its true but I desperately need something done to my hair so please help!!

No. that's not true. However, it's best to wait until after your first trimester and be sure to have it done in a place that's well ventilated.

I've had mine done about 3 weeks ago and im 25 weeks. no hair has fallen out either.

I haven't heard your hair will fall out but I heard that because of your hormones it could cause a different reaction to your hair then you would expect.

U can get a relaxer. It's said not to because of inhaling the chemicals...... I still get one n I have a sew in

Try a full sew in great for pregnancy u won't have to do much to it..unless u dnt like weaves

I have twist in but my hair is growing so fast so its time to take em out after a month but I could try a sew in or I mite Just go head and get a relaxer

Oh yeah, a lot of people say that the relaxer won't now take as well bc of the increase in hormones but mine took really well!!

Even though I have locs, I had cousins who were preggo and still used relaxers. Ur texture might change, but u can still safely relax ur hair without worry.

You can find lots to do with your hair on www.curlynikki.com as opposed to relaxing your hair. My suggestion is to fully educate urself about what's in a relaxed and its health hazards. Just watch chris rocks good hair... scared me straight wn I saw that the ingredients in relaxers can MELT a soda can. Not hating on ppl that get relaxers cuz 3 years ago I was religious with my touch ups. But here I am 3 years an no relaxer and it was the best decsion I ever made!
