Ok I confused myself.....HELP!

Ok when my husband and I got married my fathers side of the family threw us a bridal shower and so did my moms side (why they had to be separate I don't know) None of my husbands family other than his cousin who was in the wedding was there.....Is his side supposed to throw us their own shower for us or is my family supposed to invite them to the one they are throwing? I ask because money is tight for everyone and I don't think my family should have to soak up ALL the costs for everything.......What did you girls do?

    Whom are you most closest to on his side? I would talk to this person and ask them if they are willing to get together with..(insert your family member) and cohost your shower.
    I only had one shower, my mother and his grandmother hosted. It worked out well.

    What does your husband suggest about his side? If he's not fond of anyone, then just make it your family and your friend. Maybe a close friend could cohost.
