  • I washed my new borns hair as soon as I got home from hospital and giving baby first bath. You just need to be gentle.

  • I think they say 6 weeks but I didnt listen. And he is a great 4 year old. If it was good enough when I was born well iv made it to 25 haha.
  • I did as soon as the umbilical cord fell off that way they can get in the tub
  • I did with just a wash cloth. She threw a fit and got all sweaty. She still has her cord on but i used a damp wash cloth and very very very little baby soap
  • K what about dryin the hair? Im scared 2 use the towel
  • I washed my oldest two's hair at the hospital when they showed me how to give them a sponge bath. I used a wash cloth, a small dab of baby shampoo and they also gave me this brush (kind of looks like a nail or veggie brush) to scrub their heads with to keep them from getting cradle cap. I have never been told not to wash their hair right away and they are now 2 and 4, I will be washing this baby's hair before leaving the hospital!
  • @Kat if you use a baby towel they are much softer than an adult towel, just pat the baby's head dry, you will not hurt the baby.
  • I washed my newborns hair when we got home they say not to wash the body and I just pat it dry with her towel not to hard :) she loves it when I wash her hair
  • I washed my sons hair each time I gave him a bath, but he did have a little bit of cradle cap so I had to scrub it with a little brush. But it should be fine as long as you are gentle and use a soft cloth to rinse and dry :)
  • Ok thanks every1
  • Wait the baby cant get in tub until cord falls off?
