  • I had one at 37 weeks, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good. Its a really fast procedure, its more scary then painful. I know an amnio in early pregnancy has more risks then it does in the last month. I had mine because I needed to make sure my daughters lungs are fully developed. I hope you the best with ur amnio and pregnancy!
  • Ï had one done to make sure my son had or didn't have any abnormalities (down syndrome) n for me the procedure wasn't painful just scary n after it was done i had severe cramping but on the top of my bump felt really weird n pain went away after like 25 mins
  • I am supposed to get one done on Friday. What r the risks? Someone told me I can lose my baby.
  • Well Im asking in the sense for my bd cause some girl is now claiming she prego by him and thats one of the ways I saw they can do an early dna test
  • I heard the prenatal dna test is risky.why can't she wait until its born??
  • I read that too but its actually me wanting her too cause Im so worried and cant sleep at night that it may be his or maybe not....@excitedforbaby
  • Hmmm...I think you should wait for that one.You guys can't come together and figure out the dates that she slept with the men and compare that to how far along is age? @SimplyJenai
  • And amino is a diff thing than prenatal dna testing.
  • From what I read there is a tiny possibilty of a miscarriage or a leak I think it would be safer to wait
  • @crazycat79 the drs told me that I could get one if I wanted bc of the risk of ds but it'd be better to wait until after 30 weeks. In earlier pregnancy there's a higher risk of miscarriage but in later pregnancy there a higher risk of early labor
  • Thanks ladies! I go to the fetal medicine doctor tommorrow. I will try and keep everyone posted.
