Between three middle names- need some help!

So hubby and I have been arguing over the middle name of our 1st born son. I think we need a vote at thispoint. We have Eric as the first- because Eric was my hubby's youngest brothers' name who passed away when he turned 1 yr of age. This has been the name since before we even thought of having kids. I'm Chicana and he is black. I plan to speak spanish so my son learns both at the same time. I want a spanish name for that reason and have a little bit of my culture represented. My maiden last name was Chavez and lots of friends (and hubby!) Still call me Chavez. Hubby had said we could name him Chavez as his middle name. Now he doesn't. So its between Eric (Chavez, Cristian, Cedric) Wells. What say you?

    They both sound nice but since he's getting his brother's 1st name & your hubby's last name it would be nice if you could give him your maiden name. I would stand your ground & let him know it's not up for discussion!

    @Beautifulone- cristian is the spanish version of christian. Its all in the pronunciation. I like it too, but partial to Chavez. Grrr.

    It's no different then your first born having his brother's name. You may have girls & not have anymore boys. If he can't have your middle name then tell him he can't have his brother's name!

    Agree with @StarKrayzie him saying you'll have to explain why hes the only one with your middle name is dumb. It's just like asking him why did he decide for this son to be named after his brother.

    You could use that argument for every child actually. How come you named him bob & named me billy? How come her name is mary & mines diamond? My mom gave us 3 girls T names & I always wondered why she picked them out in the order she did. I'm thankful tho cuz I think I got the best one lol

    Tell your husband that you carried Eric for 9 months & had to go through labor & the least he could do is let you pick his middle name since you have no say in the first or last name! Then flick him in the forehead!
