Is anyone else scared? *little long*

edited June 2011 in Pregnant
So, I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and been ttc for 2 years, so we are very happy to finally be pregnant. I've always heard good things about being pregnant(the glowing, happy prego ladies) but now that I'm pregnant, it seems like a nightmare. Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy, but all I hear are people complaining about how horrible it is, and all the bad experiences they have had. I'm extremely high risk, so that makes me more scared... I'm terrified of roids, baby weight, being sick, swollen feet, fatigue, miscarriages, my water breaking in public, and all the other things u ladies talk about on a daily basis... anyone have good stories?

  • My first pregnancy was great except for the weight gain, but I still think that was me being greedy and I could have made it less than it was. Everything went wonderfully, I was very happy and had hardly any aches and pains except for my back hurting around the last month, and everyone was healthy at the end. :) We tend to complain about what's bothering us and I think it's because we're all just looking for some sympathy from other people who can understand where we're coming from. We're not trying to scare anyone! :x
  • its amazing when u feel ur little move and hear the heartbeat. the shopping for the baby is alit of fun :)
  • I haven't had any symptoms besides very mild hemmorhoids that lasted a week and cravings.

Im very happy with my pregnancy so far.....btw im 23w.
  • Both my pregnancies have went rather well. I enjoy being pregant and you should too. There is a whole lot to worry about but try and stop! Just enjoy your time and the 2nd trimester is full of fun so just look forward to that and seeing your little one after they are born makes it all worth it!
  • Honestly I had hardtime in the beginning, sooo much nausea and moodiness. I smelled people from miles away like a hound. It was not cool. But after 3 months my body adjusted. Felt really happy. I started felling little gas like moves, my ultrasound pictures showed more of a baby figure everyday. And than I felt a real kick, makes me exteremly happy. It is the best feeling to have. Sooo special that God only gave this gift to women and sometimes sadly not all women. I'm. 32 weeks pregnant tomorrow, they tell me horror birth stories too and I just laugh cuz first of all every women is different, every pregnancy is different as well. I also read weekly what I should be experiencing with by body, and I have experienced some but most of it was just nothing I had. You shouldn't worry about a thing. Enjoy this time. Baby will feel relaxed too.

  • @viviya I do notice a lot of complaining lol its kinda intimidating
@ittybitty the heartbeat was so amazing. And someone told me chances of a mc are way less once u hear it.
@newmommy_navywife I've had a little fatigue and morning sickness, but nothing I can't handle.
@due71011 I'm trying to atop worrying, but its hard.
@ashthurs I really hope mine want that bad. I know it won't be fun, but I don't want a terrible experience.
  • Yah I think its all what you make it....i understand the miscarriage concern with being high risk, but the other stuff are just battle scars and make great stories later! Lol

    Good luck, dear!
  • @newmommy_navywife thanks. I'm just takin it one day at a time... although they seem to go super slow.
  • Itll speed up around week 10-11....these weeks are flying by for me. Lol

Is that where Ur at? Week 10 and 11? I hope it speeds up. @newmommy_navywife
  • Don't let anyone else's story get to you every woman is different. Yeah, there may be things that frighten you but overall you'll be happy. I'm in a high risk pregnancy I've had two miscarriages before so with this one they've said I'm high risk. And yeah because of the things that happened before it scares me because I don't want it to happen this time but I have faith that my little man will be okay. And as of right now I'm healthy. So all the little things I would of been worrying about I don't because I'm so happy that this baby will be full term and is healthy. Just look at it that way.
  • @yaya yeah, that's how we r, just so extremely happy. I can't not wait to have him or her... :)
  • See, just look at it like that. And before you know it (okay, I'm lying because its taken forever lol) your beautiful baby will be here. :-)
