Crib mattresses?? I've no clue what I'm looking for!
Ok, so I bought my crib yesterday, it's called Just One You Heirloom convertible crib made by Carter's. On the box it says any mattress must have minimum dimensions of 27.25"x51 5/8"x6". I got it from Target. This is my first child and I've no idea what I'm looking for in a mattress and it's been 27 years since my mom's had to get one and cribs have changed lol 2 questions: One, if I find one with those dimensions will it have a tight enough fit or should I try for a slightly larger one for a more snug fit? Two, does anyone have any recommendations on a mattress that won't break the bank?? Thanks ladies for the help :bz

@mama0811 i have no qualms about buying it at walmart in fact i'd rather pay a low price for a quality mattress, i'm just not sure if one brand is "better" than another like are they all flame retardant? and wth are the coil numbers about? does a bigger coil count mean a better mattress?? who thought it would be hard! lol it's a stinkin' mattress. all i care about with my own is that it's comfy...but i want the little one to be safe in his crib.
@everyone I'm just confused about dimensions and fit. It's supposed to be snug in the crib right? So i should be ok getting one with those dimensions then?
and your welcome
