Hmmm. Hospital time?

At 28 and a half weeks pregnant, I'm a little concerned that something could be wrong; not necessarily with the baby, but with Mommy. I got out of bed a little while ago to talk to my MIL-to-Be and I got super, super dizzy...pressure built up in my ears and they started ringing; my eyes got a little hazy, I got super nauseous and I felt like I was about to hit the floor. I've eaten like normal today, so I don't suppose it's blood sugar acting up...I tried to call the doctor's office, but no answer...should I wait it out and see what happens or is this means to hit the local E.R.?

  • It happens a lot to me its usually my blood presure
  • I would go!! but its up to you!
  • You should keep calling your doctor. It is normal to feel dizzy in pregnancy. Very normal actually. It's all that extra blood you're trying to spread thru your body! If it happens again, sit with your head between your legs and you will feel 100% better!
  • It was a little one the scary side; I have to be on my feet a lot during the day and that's the first time I've had that problem, so I freaked. I immediately sat down and tried to relax for a second. Baby was kicking and rolling, like normal, so I assumed he was just fine. (: I'm trying to get through to the doctor's office again, but still no answer. They're usually packed when I'm there, so I may not get an answer for a while, but I'll keep trying. I just didn't want to waste the time trying to call him if this wasn't normal activity.

  • I agree with everyone. Its normal but you need to be cautious. Get up and down slowly and be sure to take it easy. Good luck!
  • Thanks(:
I've managed to take about a 30 minute "breather"...I grabbed something to eat, sat down and am surfing the web...So far, I've been okay. I got up twice and did okay. I think I'm going to sit here for a little while and see what happens, but I'm feeling okay...he's moving and kicking like normal, but I think it's definitely something to bring to my doctor's attention...even if it's nothing!
  • I bet your dehydrated
  • I agree with @ynvtish I felt that way even when I ate, but then I drank a water and felt fine. But I would go on just go in just in case it is your blood pressure.
  • Wow whoops my phone spazzed. I would go in just in case.
