kick counts

edited June 2011 in Third Trimester
They cause me more anxiety than help lately. I feel her kick all through the day and then I get home and by the time I have a minute to lay down I'm so tired and fall asleep. From week 26 to about 29 weeks she would go crazy to the point I could "push" her back in. Now that I'm past 30 weeks she doesn't do it anymore. But I do feel her movin around in there randomly all day.

So idk I guess I'm afraid that maybe she's not okay because she doesn't go "crazy" anymore?

I have a co-worker who told me they stressed her out too. As long as she felt the baby move once a day she was okay with it. - I wake up try to make her move and when I go to bed I try to make her move.

How do your kick counts work? Do you find them helpful?

  • At times when I was worried it did help. I dont remember how many you need to count but im sure your dr knows :) I heard to drink cold water and lay on your left side or to drink orange juice.
  • they change postions hun, plus getting bigger and running out of space, my little girl will goes quiet for a few days when shes having a growth spurt. Kicks counts, never bothered. as been told diff from everyone. My midwife said 10-12 in a day. But then others day 10-12 in an hour or 2hours.
