head is high

I'm 37wks &1day and went to the doctors for my check up. No dialation and cervix is soft but baby's head us high, up on the pubic bone I think the doctor said. He told me to walk but is there anything else to do to help bring his head down?

    Thanks ladies. Maybe I need to go to the mall or something to do the walking. I live in florid and its way too hot to walk outside.

    @HomeBirthAdvocate no this is my 5th baby. My other babies didn't drop early. But I worked with all of them up until I delivered. This is my 1st time being a stay at home mom during this entire pregnancy. M 2 youngest are 3& almost 2 years old. I would just like a little progress to be made.
    @uncaffeinated_katie what part of Georgia are you at. That's where I'm originally from. I lived in mableton county outside of Atlanta. My parents still live there. Although I've lived here in Florida for about 19 years but yes both are hot!

    @uncaffeinated_katie I'm in Orlando now. Yeah we weren't to far from the Atlanta airport. We are more west of Atlanta. Have you eaten at the Varsity? We were up in Georgia last Thanksgiving and we ate there. So yummy, fattening but yummy.

    @HomeBirthAdvocate thanks. Ill try some walking I just don't have much energy and I get so hot all I wanna do is just sit. My last birth was only a 4hour labor so I'm hoping the same or less this time. I just would like to see my body already beginning to prepare itself a little. With all the twinges and pressures I get down there it would be nice to think some changes were happening from it. Ill try to be a little more patient. :)
