I was put on bed rest at 24 weeks because I was dilated 3cm and had preterm contractions.
At 34 weeks I was dilated 4cm and had preterm contractions again.
I was supposed to be on bed rest, but I could never keep myself in bed. haha.
I ended up going to a dr apt when I was 36 weeks and got sent to the hospital because I was contracting and didn't feel them but they came up on the monitor and I was dilated 6cm.
I had her that night.
4 weeks early, happy and healthy. :-)
As far as the bed rest thing goes, minimal walking around and a little bit of cleaning just nothing heavy and not a lot was fine for me. Didn't cause any major problems. I would have gone insane had I not broken the rules of bed rest haha.
with my first i was on restriction @ 14 wks and bed rest at 28 wks.
with my second i was on bed rest @ 22 wks. I feel your pain
my oldest two are 15 months apart so with a little girl who was learning to run and walk and as mobile as can be it was horrible!!!
This time around i haven't been on bed rest as of yet *knock on wood!* so far so good @ 29 wks!
if you feel comfortable telling me whereabouts you are then maybe i could help a little?
It was my first pregnancy, but I was always at home by myself with my BF working. So, even if I wanted to follow bed rest rules, it was hard if I wanted to eat or get something to do haha.
I hope the pain you're in right now goes down! Did they tell you anything that you could take to help with it?
when pregnant with my second I was transfered from here up to columbus... which driving wise (we all know ohio is best known for the insane amount of traffic lights and stupid traffic patterns) is about 1 hr. so every appointment, ultra sound, complication, and non stress test we have to arrange for the minimum of half of our day occupied AND arrangements for our kids to be cared for since our office doesnt allow children!!!! (if that's what it resorts to, then tooooo bad) I hate the drive.
That completely sucks. not that you are very close, but riverside is a fabulous hospital. i just dont know the distance. im assuming close to 100 miles, give or take.
