Has anyone had a successful pregnancy after an ectopic?

I had an ectopic pregnancy in August of 2009. I thought it was a cyst but it turned out to be ectopic. I am now ttc. I have irregular periods but I went out and got the First Response Ovulation test and some folic acid. Has anyone had a successful full term pregnancy after an ectopic?

I have a 6 1/2 yr. old so this will technically be #3?!

ive had 2 live births and on my 3rd so far successful pregnancy

I've had 2 miscarriages that were ectopic and now 29 weeks and 2 days pregnant have had complications but I also have other health problems too....

@singlemomofsoontobe3 Have you had an ectopic before that?

@married2ourhero Was it harder to conceive? This is just my second month of trying...

i had a miscarriage then 6 months later had an ectopic. i was devistated when the drs told me children were not in my future, i would just continue to have these kinds of problems so i got on birth control for 5 yrs, but yes i got pregnant the month i came offf bc and my oldest is 6, i have another 3, and this one is due in sept. i only have 1 fallopian tube, and i have polycystic ovarian syndrome

@singlemomofsoontobe3 I'm sorry about your loss. I had a laraposcopy(sp) done where my doc just removed the fetus and repaired the tube. My periods have been irregular since so it's really frustrating!!

My best friend had an ectopic, she is also -blood type. So Dr never told her to get a shot right after so if she got preg again she wouln't have issues. Because if her blood comes in contact with +blood it will fight it off as infection. Well she got preg about 2 years later and discovered her prob. Nothing happened till around 26 27 weeks. Her body started fighting the preg. I believ she was induced about 33 weeks because of it. So her son was in hospital for about 3 weeks. He is now a healthy happy 18mo old. Despite all he had to fight!! So don't stress to much. Its amazing what our bodys and these lil lives can over come!!

April 28 2010 I had surgery to remove a ectopic pregnancy and my left tube that had ruptured because of it so u have even better chance than me me since u have both tubes and I only have one and in july 2010 I found out I was pregnant again and I am now 33 weeks 5 dayss along due march 28 don't worry u will be fine

I'm just worried about having a second one. I have also heard that the mc rate is higher after an ectopic??

I have just heard it from different people and friends. I looked it up and it doesn't really say anything about it being higher. Idk. I think that I ovulate between the 13th and the 18th so is it too late to start taking the folic acid? I had my daughter when I was 16 so all this ttc business is new to me :-S

Anytime i see this question i have to tell the story of my own birth. My mom had 2 boys 18 mo apart then an etopic and had to have her tube removed and the other tied. The next year she was sick and told her dr she was preggo and he said impossible. Lol. Needless to say i arrived on my due date. Anything is possible.

Ithis pregnancy was not planned first time the condom broke with my husband I ended up pregnant....I have pcos nd endometriosis and was told I couldn't have kids....right before I got pregnant they found things wrong with my liver....I've had mulitple surgeries and tests ran....but this pregnancy has been hard on me...constant bed rest and lots of trips to the hospital....it will happen in time for you just stay positive!!
