  • Yep its when the placenta covers the cervix can be completely covering or partial. It can cause bleeding and if it doesn't move a csection is needed
  • I have complete previa, my doctor hasn't given me a % on the odds of it clearing up. I also had my first bleeding from it today, scared me but me and baby are okay
  • I had placenta previa with this pregnancy and partial placenta previa with the other two pregnancies.

It all corrected its self before I delivered
  • I found out I had marginally placenta previa "placenta is right above the opening of the cervix" at about 23wks weeks. I got put on complete bedrest in March, I had several bleeds and admitted to the hospital 4 times. My placed moved a little when I was 37 weeks. Still not enough for a vaginal birth. I had a healthy 8lb baby girl on June 1 VIA c-section. Remember that every pregnancy is different and your placenta could completely move up and you can have a vaginal. :) Please take it easy so your not put on bedrest. Good luck mommy and if you need to know anything else about it feel free to ask. I hope this was helpful.
  • Thanks ladies im alittle worried the dr. Says take it easy cause it can cause bleeding. Ive had a csection with my first i just dont know when i can start bleeding?
  • You can start bleeding at any given moment. I'm not trying to scare you but I would just be laying down watching television and I would start bleeding. Doing anything strenous will make it worse. I was put on pelvic rest "no sex", no heavy lifting not even my 2yr old :(, etc. Again everyone is different. You may not bleed at all which would be excellent.
