Dry Skin?

My daughter is a little over a week old And has very dry peeling skin on her hands and feet. I have tried putting the Johnsons baby lotion on them, but they're still peeling. Does anyone know if this Is normal Or what else we Can use to help moisturize it? I'm afraid of putting alot on her hands Because she sucks on them When she's self soothing.

    I got told to use olive oil on dry skin/cradle cap. Never had to but my sister in law did for my nieces cradle cap x

    Its normal and the lotions didnt work for me either. My son had that too any I used baby oil after each sponge bath and now each bath and it keeps him soft and smooth and no dry skin.

    Its normal , my baby was like that till she was 3wks old

    Normal. My 10-day old has terribly dry skin. I've been using berts bees baby lotion, but its still pretty dry, especially on her wrists
