Question about babies heartbeat. Insight?

edited June 2011 in Pregnant
I'm 28w2d. A few days ago my little man was moving like crazy. But now I hardly feel him. Occasionally I feel a little something, but not like I was. At my appointment today I asked her about the movements, and told her it goes from a lot to almost none. She said that was kind of odd, and told me how to count them. She couldn't find his actual heartbeat but heard the placenta, and said it'll work just the same. She looked around a little more but still couldn't find it. She didn't sound or act concerned at all. But I was just wondering if the placenta is sounding perfectly does that mean I have nothing to worry about?

  • Well what i can guess if baby wasnt alive the placenta wouldnt have a job to do so wouldnt be wrking? Idk but if she wasnt concernd your baby is probly fine :)

  • He's finally moved a little bit again. But only for a minute or so. So his heartbeat must have been there. What would make it hard to hear?
  • He could have been hiding or facing the back. My girls was hard to find untill she moved ryt under it.
  • I had the same thing happen and doc said it was because my placenta is in the front rather than on top..so I don't feel him move as much anymore but occasionally I feel a pretty sturdy kick !
  • That just happen to me at the dr office now she could hear it but couldnt hear it strong. She told me he was just hind. Im 30 weeks 3 days
