The lady doing the paper work worried me about something she said.. It was if I had been walking through out my pregnancy and I havent really done that... She then said it would be helpful for me because I wouldnt be in labor too long.. So now I am thinking about it and I feel bad because I should of walked more! Im now 36 weeks and this saturday I will 37 weeks.. I just hope I wont be in labor too too long! :/

  • What do you mean? What did the lady say exactly about you? About walking? I try to force myself sometimes to walk when I can (I'm 27wks) bc my doc said it'll make labor easier? But I find my calves aching, my feet swelling & my ankles disappearing :-(
  • Thanks.. And I have been walking at least 30min a day.. I hope thats good enough...

  • Oh well either way I just want my baby to be healthy and not take me too long in the laboring part...wish me luck!
  • i barely walked my last two pregnancies.. i don't exercise and i'm a SAHM and i had two fast easy deliveries. my first labor was 7 hours.. i pushed for 20 minutes. and my second labor was 3 hours and he came out by my third push LOL i'm afraid this next baby will pop out in my car.

  • My ob told me that walking actually doesn't do much for a cervix that he has seen. That it just depends on the woman. I walked everyday all day during my pregnancy when I worked at a clinic and I didn't dilate at all. Even by 39 wks there was no change so don't let it worry you.
  • Don't worry there are people who are put on bed rest the whole pregnancy and delivery is fine :)
