dr. already talking c section?!

edited June 2011 in Third Trimester
I'm 27 weeks with my first, and my doctor today was already talking about possibly needing a c section just bc baby was laying sideways...i assured him that the baby rolls around so much that I was sure he'd move positions again, but the dr. didn't provide much reassurance. I just feel kind of uncomfortable that he is already bringing it up when I still have 3 months to go...my thought is that when I go into labor, that's when they would check to make sure?! I just don't want my dr. trying to convince me early on to schedule a c section that might be totally unnecessary. anyone else been thru this??

  • don't feel pressure, you have alot of time left....one of my docs constantly talked about episiotomy and i told him i didn't want one, sign paperwork so i wouldn't have one and after 15 minutes of pushing he just cut me and acted like all he did was sneeze....docs will do what they think is best and quickest, not all but some...just be patient they'll be check you're baby's position more and more especially once you start going in every 2 wks.....if your baby hasn't changed positions by then they can always try turning him from the outside...you have options other than a c-section
