why did you chose your child's name

My daughter is due September 25th. Her name is going to be Ella Ann. I chose the name because my great gramma's name was Luella she always wanted someone to name a child after her and said she wouldn't die till I had a little girl. She did unfortunately pass away so I thought I owed it to her to name my baby after her I just dropped the Lu. Middle name is Ann because it is tradition in my family first born daughter gets that middle name. What about you ladies any particular reason you chose your babies name

Our daughters name is Sidney Leanne. Sidney cause my hubby really liked the name. Leanne because Lee was his dads middle name and he passed away 2yrs ago. Anne because it is mine and his gmas middle name.

My oldest daughters name is Riley. She was named after the doctors last name that saved my life. I had three people that took care of me two which were doctors and one was my attorney which all had Riley as a last name. So I took there last name and made it her first name. Riley nicole. I was in am car accident broke my neck in 3 places and had a compound fracture to my rt. Arm. I was pronounced dead for 20mins. If it wasn't for the doc. At Akron childrens hospital I would not be here. I thought I owed him that. He gave my daughter his nick name that he wad given so it was cute. He was more then honored!!!!

Our son is due 8/3 but were expecting him early. His name will be Aydon ( yes we changed the spelling after my pregly account was made, a friend stole the previous spelling) Robert. Robert is a family name on hubby's side. (I hate it, I voted Ryley) but I gave in cuz its hubby's grandpa's name (recently died) and hubby's middle name. And Aydon is DH way of naming our son after me. It means little fiery one. Hubby believes those two words fit me to a T... so he googled it and came up with aydon.

I studied Greek mythology in college a couple years ago and we read this awesome poem about how the Greek hero Achilles was born. I knew that I was going to name my future son Achilles after that
His middle name is Caramon. It's from a fantasy series that my husband loves. He named his first son Raistlin after the main character. In the book, Raistlin's brother is named Caramon.

Okay, I was told from the time I was 14 years old that due to hormonal, genetic, & reproductive disorders, I would most likely never conceive a child. At age 16, I began dreaming of a little girl with blonde hair & blue eyes named Camilla Autumn. Sometimes, I would dream her as a newborn, an infant, a toddler, etc., but it was always the same features - the same chubby face. I lost 2 pregnancies back in October 2008 and again in April 2009, & I am now 38w5d pregnant. After 15 years of dreaming of this little girl, I knew what I would name her as soon as the ultrasound tech told me the gender back in February!

We don't know what we are having yet but if its a girl its going to be bethany leighann. Bethany cause i had a pastor when i was younger and that was his daughters name and i just love it leigh cause lee was my gpas middle name and he died in 96 of cancer ad ann becase my moms name is annette and my dhs moms middle name is ann. For a boy it will be jeremy daniel jeremy was my husbands bro who passed away in a tragic car wreck around the same time te baby is due back in 97 and daniel because that's my husbands and step dads first name and we wanted to keep the same initals as his bro jdm but with out using the same middle name. (Sorry for the long explination)

Raiden Martin, Raiden because its the only name my hubby and I can agree on and Martin because its my hubby, fil, and hubbys grandpas middle name.

Emily Grace. For my older daughter, we chose Rose for her middle name, which is my mom's name. So this time, we looked for names from his family. I've always loved the name Emily, so it was the perfect choice after we found out it was his grandmother's name and he picked Grace which was one of his great grandmothers.

I'm a Johnny Depp fan, so I really wanted my son's name to be John Christopher (Depp's real name). My BF was NOT for it though! Haha. However, he is a Beatles fan, so is my fam. We decided to go with Jude Christopher per the song "Hey Jude" :-) PLUS, I've pretty much dedicated that as his lullaby :-)

Well I wad having a hard time finding a name for my daughter... Then a month before I was due my father passed away. His name is charles and I named my daughter charleze after him which is the fem of charles. With my son me ams my bf couldn't decide I liked braeden and he didn't so he suggested zaiden and I loved it

Our first son is named syrus ikaika. Syrus was a name we heard the moment he was born on a tv show that was on in.my room and ikaika means strength/warrior in Hawaiian. And my son due oct 28 is blaise kaaialii. Blaise is just means a really strong fire and kaaialii is my Hawaiian last name and its tribute to my uncle who just died. I wanted my kids to have strong unique names

I wanted Keria or Sienna Elizabeth, but my husband came up with Ella Yvonne. And it really stuck with me. Especially Yvonne. My fathers name was Ivan and when my grandma (his mother) would say it always sounded like yvonne with her accent. So now that's her name Ella Yvonne. :X And I can't wait to meet her.

My son is called Leo Stuart Thomas and this baby is almost certainly a boy and he will be Riley George Dalglish.
Leo - shorter version of Leonard, both our grandads name
Stuart - daddys name
Thomas - a name that runs in the boys in my family
Riley - my mum and stepdads surname
George - grandad and great great grandad name
Dalglish - the current Liverpool FC managers surname, my fiance's boyhood idol!
