Possible to startle baby in utero?

edited June 2011 in Third Trimester
Is it possible to startle your baby when they're inside you by exclaiming loudly? My daughter was rolling her head around under my ribs (or, turning or something...) and it was okay for a few minutes, then she did something that startled me for some reason and I kinda cried out sorta loudly. She quit abruptly... and hasn't moved since (it's been a bout 8 minutes). She's poked a little, but not the insane movement that she was doing earlier. Just kinda tentative. I'm not worried or anything, I just find it odd.

    @mama_kat Yeah, like I said, I'm not worried about it. :) But I kinda feel bad, like I scolded her or something for doing what was natural to her. ^^; I keep imagining a startled or sulking child (like my nephew when my sister scolds him).... I just feel bad. ^^; lol. I wasn't sure if it startled her or what the deal was. 29/1

  • @Mama_Kat xD LoL! Yeah... She's moving lots now. At the last ultrasound, she was crooked with her head up under my right ribs and her feet down near my left hip. I'm not sure if she's still laying that way (it was only 3 days ago), but I definitely feel lots of movement up under my ribs. It honestly feels like kicks, but it felt that way before the ultrasound, too. So I have NO idea what she's doing in there! D:
  • Oh, wait. I know. She's headbanging! :D xD LOL. Idk. ^^;
