Has anyone's doctor recommended getting the adult whooping cough vaccine in the seconr or third trimester? I have not heard of anyone getting it... :/

  • Well I didn't get it recommended to me but I had whooping cough with my 2nd child. 6 months along....the most unpleasant thing possible. It is terrible if u do get it.
  • my Dr gave me that shot at 37 weeks

  • I got it just a few weeks ago. Whooping cough is making a very strong comeback and most adults do need to be vaccinated. Even if they were vaccinated as a child. They say it has gotten stronger and the only people who are really protected from it, are people who have recently got the vaccine. If you want to wait until your pregnancy is over, ask them to vaccinate you right after birth. The only vaccine they waited to give me was MMR. I got that within five minutes of having my first daughter.
